According to the released digital transformation report, more than 26 million operations were carried out on the “Absher” (A smartphone application which allows citizens of and residents in Saudi Arabia to use a variety of governmental services) platform in 2019, with an estimated value of SR15 billion.
Implementation in the Justice sector led an outstanding 75 percent reduction in paper use in courts and 179 court e-systems were implemented.
Digital Transformation in the health sector helped residents and citizens, with more than 36 million appointments were booked through the “Mawid” (an electronic media interface for publishing accurate health information), and more than 11 million residents were registered via the “Unified Health File” service.
The rising education sector of the Kingdom recorded more than 36 million certificates saved in the “Noor” (An e-services program which provides full functionality to school administration and connecting with the ministry system. It also provides accurate and timely data powered by most advanced technology in the field of educational administration.
HRH Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman announced Saudi Vision 2030 with an establishment of National Digital Transformation Unit & Visual Realization Office at the Saudi Ministries.
HRH Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman announced development of 20 large infrastructure projects including NEOM, The Red Sea Development Project, Al Widyan Smart City, Riyadh Metro, Qiddiyan Entertainment City, and others in the kingdom boosting the requirement of ICT development & transformation.
